Deadline For Compensation & Matrix For Compensation:

GENERAL WARNING for ALL Seventh Amendment Claimants (Category One or Category Two Claimants); to meet the deadline for compensation, the medical condition that qualifies you for Matrix Level III, IV or V benefits must be diagnosed and also occur by the earlier of December 31, 2011, or fifteen years from the last date of diet drug use. If you fail to meet this deadline, you will never be able to make a claim for compensation for damages arising from your use of Pondimin® or Redux™ (Fen-Phen), either from the Trust or through any independent lawsuit, even if you later develop a Matrix III, IV, or V condition.

The amounts which individuals are entitled to recover under the Seventh Amendment depends on the Diet Drug Recipient's age at diagnosis and occurrence of a Matrix Level III, IV or V condition ("Level of Severity"), and additional criteria, such as duration of diet drug usage (click here for a summary of additional criteria). For qualifying Diet Drug Recipients, payments will be made according to the following Matrix A-1 or Matrix B-1:

What is the Fen-Phen Class Action Settlement?

A Nationwide Class Action Settlement Agreement was reached to resolve certain legal claims against American Home Products arising from two Diet Drugs it marketed, Pondimin® and Redux™, commonly referred to as Fen-Phen. The Settlement Agreement received Final Judicial Approval on January 3, 2002. Ten amendments to the Settlement Agreement have been approved by the Court. (Source: For more information, see www.settlementdietdrugs.com, a web site set up by the AHP Trust for this Settlement)

The Seventh Amendment contains critical information for all Seventh Amendment Class Members. We have posted links to important information contained in the Settlement and the Seventh Amendment to the Fen-Phen Settlement below.

The following documents are provided here for your convenience and as a reference point regarding the Fen-Phen Class Action Settlement Agreement with American Home Products Corporation.
